Phase I (0-30 days) GraceWay residents have no contact with the outside world. Their day consists of a highly-structured living environment that includes eight hours of combined counseling, group sessions, individual planning and intense application of the Twelve Step Methodology. Each resident’s behavior is charted and evaluated by staff over a 24 hour period.
Phase II (31-60 days) Residents earn their first contact with “healthy” family members. This is limited to writing, receiving mail and telephone privileges with staff approval. Families are required to attend a minimum of six Al-Anon meetings in preparation for their first family visitation. During this phase, residents are preparing applications and resumes to begin school and/or work.
Phase III (61-90 days) Residents are allowed monitored visitation in the facility on Saturday and Sunday. Residents will begin to attend outside Twelve Step Meetings with appointed GraceWay staff. Residents are required to complete 20 hours of volunteer work during this Phase and will begin working and/or going to school.

Phase IV (91 days TERM) - Residents are required to work and pay all current financial obligations and maintain a savings account. All past legal obligations must be satisfied. In this Phase residents may attend outside meetings and take therapeutic leave on weekends with staff approval. Residents are frequently drug tested throughout their stay and must maintain daily contact with a sponsor.
Phase V (After Care) - Those residents who have completed the program and maintain sobriety are eligible to attend selected group sessions at GraceWay and will be given a suggested individualized recovery maintenance plan.
